Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

For Our Cardiovascular Patients

Cardiovascular rehabilitation provides individualized exercise and education programs for people with heart problems such as coronary heart disease, heart attack, bypass surgery, and angina. Our goal is to help each patient restore and maintain his or her best possible physical, mental, social, and occupational well-being.

For Our Pulmonary Patients

The pulmonary rehabilitation program offers individualized exercise and education plans for people with chronic lung disease, such as emphysema, bronchitis, or asthma. The goal is to minimize the negative effects of lung disease through physical conditioning, education, respiratory therapy, and controlled breathing techniques.

Rehabilitation

Your rehabilitation program is directed by a physician and supervised by an interdisciplinary team of registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and exercise physiologists. Each patient's individualized program is designed to:

  • Improve physical fitness.
  • Modify risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and inactive lifestyle.
  • Educate about cardiovascular and pulmonary disease.
  • Improve nutrition and lifestyle.
  • Involve families in patient care and recovery.
  • Help patients adjust to changes caused by a medical condition.
  • Provide techniques for stress management and overall wellness.
